Harvested from the Grassy Creek Vineyard and from our sister site - Holloway Vineyard in Troutman, North Carolina - the grapes of Grassy Creek receive the attention and care necessary to insure that the wine maker has the very best North Carolina has to offer. And all of our wines are estate bottled at our White Barn Winery. With plantings in cabernet sauvignon, merlot, shiraz, sangiovese, grenache, chardonnay, pinot grigio, viognier, and sauvignon blanc, we offer a wide range of tasting alternatives. Our Grassy Creek wines are the more full-bodied, rich, and robust wines in our offering. Our Klondike Farm wines are the sweeter, lighter, fruitier wines we offer. Grassy Creek 2007 Red Barn Blend, Yadkin Valley Our Red Barn Blend is made from grapes harvested from our vineyard, noted for the distinctive, red earth. Rich in flavors of dark berries, fresh herbs, and chocolate, it is a wonderful match for beef, lamb, pork, and poultry dishes. Grassy Creek 2007 Merlot, North Carolina Our Merlot is harvested from our sister Holloway Vineyard in Troutman, NC. Full-flavored, with layers of currant, cedar, blackberry, and toasty vanilla, the flavors to the finish are long and complex. Grassy Creek 2006 Barbera, Yadkin Valley Our first Barbera is dark and rich in color. The taste is smooth, rich, and concentrated with layers of currant, black cherry, and wild berry. The finish is long, rich, and intricate. Only 105 cases produced. Grassy Creek 2006 Cabernet Franc, Yadkin Valley Our first Cabernet Franc is a big, juicy wine. It is an aromatic red with lots of plum and smoke characteristics. And the finish is full bodied, velvety, and fruit coated. Only 150 cases produced. Grassy Creek 2006 Cabernet Sauvignon, Yadkin Valley Our first Cabernet Sauvignon has lots of aromatic complexity, with plum, blackberry, and oak flavors that are rich and concentrated. This wine is ripe with tannins and has a long, full-bodied finish that echoes mocha and berry flavors. Grassy Creek 2007 Chambourcin, Yadkin Valley Our first Chambourcin has a deep ruby red color. The bouquet is full with plum and berry aromas. And the taste is rich, satisfying, and long on the finish. Grassy Creek 2008 Chardonnay, Yadkin Valley Our Chardonnay has floral nuances with apple and peach in the aroma, and hints of vanilla and spice added to those in the flavors from being fermented in French oak barrels. Grassy Creek 2008 Chardonnay, Yadkin Valley (Un-oaked) This chardonnay is "un-oaked", which creates a light and crisp flavor rich in peach and mellow characteristics that leave a lasting impression on the palate. Grassy Creek 2008 Pinot Gris, Yadkin Valley Our Pinot Gris is delicately fragrant and reminiscent of a floral perfume. The finish is fresh with pineapple and lemon flavors. Grassy Creek 2008 Sauvignon Blanc, Yadkin Valley Our Sauvignon Blanc has a penetrating aroma evoking scents of green apple and zesty grapefruit. The finish is fresh and crisp, with a hint of bell pepper. Klondike Farms 2007 Sweet Guernsey Red, Yadkin Valley Our Sweet Red is made from Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Merlot, Carlos and Noble grapes. This sweet wine from North Carolina is flavorful and a perfect refreshment for a warm, sunny afternoon. Klondike Farms 2007 Golden Guernsey, Yadkin Valley Our Golden Guernsey is made from Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Pinot Gris, and Viognier grapes. This lightly sweet white wine from North Carolina is a perfect and refreshing complement to any sunny afternoon.
