March Madness at
Grassy Creek Vineyard & Winery!
When: Saturday
& Sunday, March 13-14, 2010
Time: GAME TIME!!
Where: Red Barn Tasting Room
March Madness may be happening
outside with all of the record snow, but don't forget about the games!
Can't get to Greensboro for them? Want a mid-game stretch? Come visit
our Red Barn Tasting Room both Saturday or Sunday afternoon and keep
up with the ACC basketball tournament as you enjoy a wine tasting, or
sit by our fabulous stone fireplace with a bottle of your favorite Grassy
Creek wine. TWO televisions in our tasting room will
be tuned into the games for you to watch the games during the day. To
keep the heat on we are featuring a chili tasting - three different
recipes to complement the wines - and you decide which is best! In between
games enjoy a walk outside along our namesake Grassy Creek walking trail.
March 13 is our winemaker's
birthday so you can bet we will have a killer cake that day to satisfy
your sweet tooth too! And don't worry; Saturday or Sunday, we promise
to stay open until the games are over!

Grassy Creek Vineyard & Winery
cordially invites you to our first Winemaker’s Dinner on Saturday,
March 27! The culinary extravaganza is courtesy of one the
finest restaurant in the area, Twenty One & Main Restaurant,
who will be creating for you a stellar evening and tasting experience.
Their Executive Chef, Jeff Gibbs, will be preparing an exquisite
four course dinner specially designed to complement many of
your favorite Grassy Creek wines (see the menu below!). The evening
event, hosted by your *ahem* favorite winemaker, Jim Douthit,
will be held in the main lodge of the historic Klondike Cabins, just
a short walk from the Grassy Creek Tasting Room. (No need to walk, there
is plenty of parking directly in front of the lodge!)
Your evening will begin at
6:00 p.m. with a reception of music, wine, and cheese. Dinner will follow
in the main dining room. The cost for the evening is $85 per person
for all wine and food, including a very special reserve port from a
surprise private cellar to be served to complement dessert.
Dinner reservations
can be made early by calling Judy Hancock at 336-835-4230 - seating
is limited! Plus, keep in mind that the Klondike Cabins are
ideal for an overnight stay based on availability - no need to designate
a driver for the evening!
For our attending wine club
members, the first quarter 2010 wine club selection will be waiting
for you to take home, or it can be picked up earlier in our tasting
room.
We hope you will come, enjoy,
taste and experience with us! For your early savoring, the menu for
the evening is attached!
Don't delay in making your
reservations early! We look forward to dining with you.
